Earlier this year, Netflix announced that it is ditching Microsoft’s Silverlight plug-in in favor of HTML 5. Part of the reason that Netflix is moving on is due to the fact that Microsoft announced that it will phase out support for Silverlight’s video streaming plug-in by 2021.

I don't even like Silverlight. It has too much burden. And thinking for the future of HTML 5, it's gonna be exciting.
