Cheers for the article. I do could agree that free may not be the way to go for businesses, but with some of those good things fed to us that worked and free, gave the public some idea that some things could still be obtained without shelling out. Reader may be out, but there are still some rss readers that could do the same function for free, and in some cases, easier to get familiar with.

It all may just depend on how the free service plan to continue, whether by having their service absorbed by other big guns, or just surviving by adding advertisements within their programs (which we commonly see nowadays).

I agree. It really boils down to the model on which the free app or platform is running as well as what the specific needs of your business are.
