You can see the source of audience in dashboard all sources link. Sites like Yelp, Bing, Yahoo are some of the competitors of Google places. Google places would be prominent in all countries where Google search engine would be widely used. I don't think foodtrucks could be registered as they don't have a physical fixed location but innovative thought for a nice product for a niche segment :-)

Informative video about Google Places. How could you know where you customers are coming from? Is Google Places the leading service in countries outside the North American market? Do they have competitors?
