Blogging is Tough Going for Business Owners
"This is a realistic view of blogging. Imagine yourself as an owner of a small restaurant with 5 to 10 employees. You have to manage the restaurant, all the operations, all the staff, keep customers delighted, and on top of that you're supposed to blog? Anyone who manages all that gets a gold star!"Failure to Lend
"The article makes one good point (not many ARC loans made) but undermines it with a silly point (banks are to blame). This was a stupid program to begin with, because banks could not charge any interest for ARC loans. Banks are profit-making institutions. They aren't going to make a loan if they don't make money on it. The fault lies squarely with the SBA. They screwed up, big time. If you were a bank shareholder you'd be calling for the head of the execs if they lost money by making idiotic interest-free loans. Sheesh! Dumb Obama bureaucrats."Seth Godin and Richard Branson on recession marketing strategies
"I am a fan of both Seth and Sir Richard. However, what do they know about recession marketing in a way that is relevant to my business? They're both big celebrities. The money probably keeps rolling in no matter what the economy is doing, when you're a bazillionaire or a big name. Not so for us little people. :-("How to Get Great Photos for Your Blog Posts
"Don't agree with this at all. Lots of hidden pitfalls with using Flickr photos. One day they're supposedly Creative Commons. The next day the owner changes his mind and they not usable by the public. Howe will you be able to protect yourself? Answer: you won't unless you take a screen shot showing the image marked as Creative Commons and usable. Have also heard horror stories with the "Blog This" feature. One person got a bill for $50 using a Blog This image!!! Risky to use Flickr photos! I would NOT do it."Subscribe
