Do You Know Why Your Customers Leave? -The Small Business Playbook
"Thanks Harry. Yes, I agree with you. I think it's easier to deal with when you've clearly PO'd a customer, it's black and white and you can work on fixing it. I think it's harder when they leave because of boredom/apathy as those problems grew over time and don't allow (usually) with a quick fix. Cheers."The Business Owners Guide To Blogging - 3Bug Media
"Yes Val, every business should be running some sort of blog to engage with their customers, even if it's something smaller like a photo blog. I think the bigger issue when it comes to businesses and blogging is that it can take a long time to generate any sort of ROI from it and they just don't have the time or patience to see it through. Sounds like an e-course in the making! Cheers Val"10 Great Ways To Promote Your New Business - The Small Business Playbook
"Hi Ti, You're right, most business owners are told blogging is a terrific way to market their business but almost none of them are successful at it. I think most people are impatient and blogging requires a lot of patience if you want to see the rewards. Yes, a good course for small business owners would be great! Thanks Ti!"How To Land Your First Client - The Small Business Playbook
"Hi Heather, Thanks for the comments, hopefully a new business owner will find it useful. All of the talk these days is around social media, sales seems to be a 4 letter word these days, but it's the fastest way to get the business you want. I don't have comments closed on purpose. Should be fixed in a day or so, sorry about that! By the way, you rock Heather :)"5 Elements of a Great Advertising Piece - Small Business Marketing
"Thanks Goran! You're right, advertising is going beyond a coupon code and call to action, people are looking for a reason to click on an ad, or call a business.....I don't think businesses spend enough time thinking their ad planning through....they could get much better results if they did. Cheers"5 Elements of a Great Advertising Piece - Small Business Marketing
"Yes Martin, A.I.D.A. still applies, though it's bit of a dated concept. For small business owners who have so much at stake, every dollar has to count. That leaves broad based awareness building secondary behind driving leads that will boost the bottom line. I see brand strategists trying to apply big brand advertising think to small business. Branding is great, but if eats up your finite marketing budget and doesn't directly impact your bottom line, you may not be open long enough to reap the long term benefits of "awareness" marketing. Do You Know Why Your Customers Leave? -The Small Business Playbook
"Hey Martin, yes, I have read it. It was pretty good. If you read Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, you'll see they were the source for much of the content and are both great books."
