How Changing Your Situation Changes Everything
"Yonatan, Thanks for your comment. I found the video inspiring too. I prefer to think of such mistakes in terms of incomplete knowledge rather than the idea of doing something wrong. I'd like to believe that I am better at what I do today than I was last year and that I will be better next year than I am today. It's a question of correcting errors and moving forward. "Sales Tip A Day: Adding Comments on Blogs to Help Promote Yourself
"You're absolutely right about the importance of commenting, Chris. Not that the comments will have any great SEO impact in terms of the weight of back links. But it's an important part of getting your name out there and hopefully the karma you will generate in community building will come back to your blog. The amazing thing is how few people do it."Did you hear? The Future of the web is social
"Wow. Social, huh? Thanks for clearing that up. Seriously though the interesting aspect of all this is the idea of a new paradigm based on the choice of millions of (human) users rather than algorithms and spiders. What a concept. Of course, how it plays out remains to be seen. Thanks for the post. Some great ideas shared. "How Do You Feel About A Franchise "Date" Like This? (Part 1)
"Hmmmm. I'm not sure I get it either. But then I have some friends who still say that about Facebook, so maybe it would be best to wait and see. I guess my main question would be about whether this is really a service that is in demand? Is the problem in franchising, or in most other small business ventures for that matter, really that investors and perspective entrepreneurs can't find each other? Or is it that investors have trouble finding would-be entrepreneurs they feel comfortable investing in. I'm not sure how this service can really solve the second problem. "The Biggest Social Media Mistakes (a Jay Baer Interview)
"Great thoughts in particular from the video, my favorite being the idea that your strategy should never be based on the tools you use. How many businesses have forgotten what they're all about because they focus too much on tools? Most tragically perhaps and most near and dear to my heart is the newspaper industry who forgot they were in the news business and became too focused on being in the paper printing business. How To Keep Your Customers Coming Back
"Thanks, Yonatan. I must confess that Cracker Barrel and audio books are not too things that spring to mind when I think innovation. But in this case I have to say there are some serious lessons to learn about customer retention we all could learn from."
