Amber - great discussion. I find baby boomers the best candidates for many of the reasons you note. After all, there are 76 million people born between 1946 through 1964 who comprise this group. I recently identified 5 reasons why baby boomers will buy franchises."
Amber this describes quite well the opportunities available to those interested in franchise business. Understanding what you can put in your geographic area will help applicants hone in on how their interests match up to available growth franchise industries. Thanks for posting on bizsugar.com. "
7 Quick & Dirty Job Interview Tips For Entrepreneurs (Plus Other Stuff You Probably Should Know About)"Arthur - a good, well-written, and light-hearted approach to a tough subject that many are unskilled in completing. As a professional recruiter it's great to see the "dreaded interview" discussed. Thanks for your timely tips on bizsugar.com. "
Miranda this is a timely topic to cover. As the owner of a job placement company and HR practitioner I find the refusal to hire and termination for refusal to provide private information unfortunate. I know Facebook is challenging these actions through their own private use policy. Thanks for bringing this into a more vibrant discussion mode. Thanks for using bizsugar.com"
Interesting headline. Some of your points have strong merit. I would expect that there is more to this. I've always held that many can be trained as managers, and certain types of people make better managers. Learning how to work with others, communicate effectively, and implementing the business plan are central to success. Your 6th point needs more elaboration - perhaps in another post? I look forward to it. Thanks for using bizsugar.com"
Elish - I have used several of these and consciously apply them but had not thought previously about all of them in a package for a performance. Brilliant tie in. I would count them as a top ten list. I can see how these apply to online presentations as well. "
Great post. Initially I thought - where are you going with this concept, and then you described succinctly the benefits. We know that starting your own business is not for everyone and when you do decide to take that leap you need the faith, persistence, and go-get-'em attitude that you and your wife have to be successful. Being an entrepreneur requires focus and determination - which you describe well - and of course the all necessary motivation to be free from that day job. Thanks for the inspiration - particularly with the online focus - inbound marketing works remarkably well. Thanks for posting on bizsugar.com"
