"Hi Martin In answer to your first question - you would need a reasonable sharing base across all social media platforms to 'sweeten the deal' - but you could also offer to share with a mailing list too. I don't know of any other small business accounts using this other than Andrew - except me now :-) But I'm sure there are loads of small firms using a variation of this strategy. One of the comments on my blog says they are using a similar strategy, and I've used Twitter for outreach in not so different ways. Secondly, I have tried Snip.ly (for a couple of weeks on selected social media shares last year). It does work and has its place - and I will be using it going forward - but it will be a selective thing as I think too much could be counterproductive. Hope this helps.
