6 Reasons Why I'll Continue To Take Notes During Sales Meetings
"Hi Niall, Writing forces us to think at a slower pace, thereby helping the information to "stick" better. I certainly takes notes in all meetings, whether with the iPad, or on paper (there is something about writing on paper that is fulfilling) I feel it also reassures the (potential) client, like your point 3 above. It also allows us to refer back to earlier points "earlier you mentioned...." and can really help re-focus the client if they tend to go off on a tangent :) Interesting points..."Best Practice Netiquette
"Thank you Niall, I would agree. The post is really just to highlight what we all experience - the good, the bad, and the downright ugly! For people starting out with networking, whether online or a follow up of an off line contact, quantity can be great practice or simply overwhelming. Quality is what it comes down to ultimately, and as you suggest, mutual respect and courtesy. Indeed, we don't get it all right, all of the time, but it's the effort that counts :) "Build A Better Rapport For Networking
"Thanks Niall, I would agree with you. Many people I have met just feel awkward! No two ways about it. However, they are focusing too much on themselves, they could be focusing on the other people - helps to shed those nerves! But having some form of a plan, or strategy is a great way to ensure you get something from the meeting, and not relying on the meeting to provide you with... whatever! I believe you get out what you put in. Thanks for the comment. "Social Entrepreneur Caroline Casey talks to Bloggertone TV
"A great interview Frank and Caroline - some really good basic advice there for anyone who is unsure of what they should do next. It's back to the old adage - Feel the fear and Do it anyway. We will never be perfect, we will never have it right all of the time, but if we can, as Caroline points out, bring our full self to work, we are then being authentic, and being authentic is in line with our values system. When we are in line with our values system, we succeed, we flourish, we grow and learn. Thanks again! "Subscribe

Are You Judged By The Company You Keep In The Social Media Age?
"The word SOCIAL is taking on a heightened importance in every aspect online. Hi Debbie - a wonderful engaging post, and one that everyone can associate with on one level or another. Having being involved with Social Media and Social Networking for 4 years now, I see shifting patterns constantly. I agree that SN has become more socially focussed and not all about numbers anymore, as is the Internet in general. One thing many people seem to oversee is that whether we communicate online or offline, we are still human beings and have not lost our gut instincts and emotional intelligence. It's time to rely on them again, and accept that we are all complicated creatures, and even online, nothing is black or white :)) And it's all ever so interesting :-)"
