Write SEO Friendly Blog Posts That Customers Will Find
"Niall, A very useful guide for bloggers. I do believe that a lot of business owners and bloggers are intimidated by SEO - but for blogging specifically, there is a lot we can do with a little knowledge (like how to install helpful plugins and knowing a little html). I have to put my hand up for not researching keywords properly, and I now clearly see the importance of that. Thank you!"Communication: 3 Tips to Make Your SME Buzz With Productivity
"Great pointers Elli, It's so important to have the communications lines open, AND to use them! I am in the middle of a book by an English business man called Allan Leighton on Leadership - lots of great examples of how great leaders communicate with their managers, employees, and especially customers. Well worth a look at. Great post Elli"The Ultimate Guide To Defeating EdgeRank For Facebook Page Owners
"A fantastic post Niall, and very informative - thanks for compiling! I find the Affinity aspect re Edgerank (closeness) very interesting. I hadn't realised that FB was using intuitive data for calculating Edgerank. Semantic is here to stay it seems."Start Your Business Networking Easily From Your Sofa
"Coming from a world of traditional offline networking, I really enjoy the online space for networking now also. And when the intention is there, great connections can be made and developed. When I began networking on twitter, LinkedIn and G+, I endeavoured to meet as many of those new contacts offline as I could. I believe in order to build real trust and learn about the other person, face to face is vital. We always "act" differently online, even when we think we are being ourselves, so a face to face coffee or collaboration is very useful. This can be done on skype or a hangout And I agree with your points. A quote I read recently - "Think global, act local" Very apt indeed :)"Trillions Of Ways Social Technologies Can Help Business Save $$$$$
"Very interesting read there John. I'm glad you mentioned the other benefits of social technologies, besides just in business. I read an article this morning on Finland utilising crowd sourcing, using a new Open Ministry platform to create new laws. Imagine that in Ireland!! Transparency and collaboration? We need more of that, and if social technologies help it spread, then it will permeate throughout. And 90% less emails definitely sounds attractive, esp for those getting hundreds of internal messages a day! Great analysis of the report - thanks for sharing"5 Tips You Can Use Today to Increase Your Work-From-Home Productivity
"Great post Robert - I would agree with all your points, I have written on this subject a lot myself. Boundaries are important, and self-discipline. Along with lunch, breaks and routine, a balance will ensure a healthy mind all round. Thanks for sharing here :)"Why Model Of Olympic Athletes Is Bad For Your Small Business
"Hi Elli, I agree in parts with your post. I don’t believe training for the olympics is a 4 year goal, and know of many many athletes who have performed in 3 or 4 olympics, which is a long time. This is much more long-term for the athlete, and affects every aspect of their life, forever. I agree that Business owners need to beware of burn-out and assuming 90 hours is necessary to achieve weekly goals. Consistent overworking puts us in hospital, destroys relationships, and ultimately destroys the business (not to mention the culture passed on to employees). And there is so much we can take from the performance of these top athletes. As long as we aspire to the emotionally healthy and well grounded top athletes, we should be ok. "Subscribe
Master The Art Of Employee Motivation With These 8 Tips
"A high level of self-awareness enables us to become more aware of our environment, including those we work and live with. Profiling often throws up curve balls to really help us understand that all is not as it seems. I used an interesting (and very simple) matrix the other day with a group of fresh entrepreneurs - the Johari Window - many of them had never even wondered what they did not know about themselves, as they assumed they knew all there is to know. Oh boy, did I hear many pennies dropping that day :) Great post Warren, keep up the great work!"
