17 Ways to Rock Your Biz...from the Experts - Small Biz Diamonds
"Hi Kim, Huge congratulations on your win in the RockYourBiz Competition. You certainly went to a lot of effort to find out what the experts are saying, and then sharing that with the BizSugar community. I am so excited to be contributing to your prize, and I know you will get great value from your BizSugar prizes. Well done!"Relax, don't do it: the ultimate way forward
"I wonder do we do "busy" to stem the guilt of lack of earning? If we fill the void, we don't have to look into it and see or hear or feel its hollowness. A lovely read, Niall and Lewis and I especially like "we are all best at being our authentic selves." It reminds me of the saying "Be yourself, everyone else is taken" By being, we already are shining the creative self, and attracting more of what we need (not necessarily work, but what we authentically need) Wow, there is nothing worse than the fear of the unknown, it really is the fear of nothing, so we DO something to counteract. "Re-Purpose, Re-Imagine And Re-Generate: PrettyvacanT Dublin Interview
"It's amazing what can be achieved on little or no marketing budget - requires inspiration and creativity, and there is no shortage of that with Louise and Philip. A huge takeaway here for every community is "Organisations operating in parallel are less effective than organisations operating in partnership" We need more partnerships, more collaboration, more openness and more honesty. Great post Elish!"8 Practical Questions To Ask A Prospective Ad Agency
"The last Q about outsourcing is pertinent. I agree that if I was looking to outsource my own SN (which I wouldn't anyway) there is now way I would want a third third party looking after that, where messages get watered down as they pass on from client to agency to sub-contractor - no thanks."The “iPad in Business” Seminars: A Great Resource for Small Businesses?
"Hi Aidan, There are many iPad users out there who disagree that the iPad is a business tool. So it's great to see Apple taking this head on in a pro-active way. While in London last year, I attended a couple of their sessions in their stores (like these - http://concierge.apple.com/wor... however, I was very disappointed with the lack of knowledge of the "expert". He simply wanted to show me the "cool" things, even though both sessions were geared at business users. I haven't tried them since, so hopefully these online seminars will be better presented. Did you attend the first one?"Facebook Secret Groups: A Great Free Tool For Blogs And Social Media Support
"I find private and secret groups fantastic for the reasons you state here Sian. I also am involved with a few others that are non-professional. In particular a family group, where we are spread all over the world and can share pictures and updates that are only relevant to us (and to keep the pictures private of course) This really helps to enforce connection. Great post, thank you Sain. Groups are perhaps an underutilized facility of FaceBook "Digital Marketing Lessons To Take From Duran Duran
"It's great to see how a band like Duran Duran can and do use newer forms of communication to connect with news fans and reconnect with old fans. It really provides a whole new level for them, not withstanding the fact it's not any easier. Social Media needs a lot of work, just like the traditional ways. It's important to stay connected, but more important to keep producing great work, and they obviously plan to. Great post Debbie and I love your last point - "you’ll find that they’re still working on their personal brand every day of their working lives.""Subscribe
