Ambie, I hate Facebook, always have, still do. I have been active on social media for over a year now and I just can't stand trying to find how to navigate the FB platform. Trying to find out how to spend money with them is nuts! From a marketing standpoint it's a lost cause! Reading the comments in the article itself shows that this is more than normal whining when a change comes through. Arrgghhhh, did I mention I hate FaceBook? "
Thanks for this article. I am going to publish this on my Scoop.it page. So many small business owners don't take the time to learn and write down basic operations. As a result they keep hiring employees and letting them go because the employee can't figure out how to do the job!"
Yes, I have tested the lean canvas business model with two recent start up businesses. One was a more complex nanotechnology where we collaborated as a group using the lean canvas method. In my experience, the lean canvas business model is a much more practical method to developing a useful, single diagram that describes the business vs. a business plan which is more of a document for investors or stakeholders that is rarely read or used. Really good points. Like the comment above, networking isn't free, but perhaps the most effective. Doing the hands on marketing when first starting out is often the ONLY way to get business. Once the business is established it's best to save your time and instead spend your money! "
