Part One: Different Types of Customer Testimonials and When To Use Them
"My pleasure! It would depend on the type of business; for instance, if you're having people beta test the service, then most of them probably already expect to circle back with feedback, which can easily segue into a testimonial request. If you're starting a consultancy, I would recommend asking previous colleagues to provide testimonials which describe and reinforce your areas of expertise and results that you've achieved in the past."Part One: Different Types of Customer Testimonials and When To Use Them
"That's fantastic, congrats Martin! First on a personal note, I am also a huge tea fanatic, so this sounds really great! I used to have a tea blog and still own a small camellia plant with which I experiment making (roasting/blending) small batches, so I can't wait to check things out once you're set up! Secondly, I would recommend either holding a small "family and friends" tasting and using feedback from that, or reaching out to local tea bloggers/influencers to either invite them to a small tasting, or send them samples to try for themselves at home. I would include a small note asking if they'd be open to providing a quote for you to use on your site or in promotion of your books. I think it would also be worthwhile to ask your producers in India if they have any testimonials or positive quotes from customers that you could also include in your marketing/site/promotional materials. This would be great for the product pages in the meantime, while you're getting things started and to bridge the gap until you get some of your own!"« previous1 next »

Part One: Different Types of Customer Testimonials and When To Use Them
"Thanks Martin! Absolutely! Those are instrumental in cultivating your business's online reputation, but we tend to bucket Online Review Sites separately from testimonials because of the nuances in their collection and amplification. However, the applications are very similar and there is certainly a lot of overlap!"
