As an experienced purchased I can related to your eight guidelines on how to call. Point #2 is crucial to business relation based on the trader principle. "Tell them how you value them as a client." That should be a two way street. The buyer should recognize the supplier and his important role in the supply chain."
I think it is great to see a business leader to stand up and speak out about his ideas. The employees of Whole Foods have great health care benefits. Personally, I will support Whole Foods when I am returning to America and "vote" with my wallet and purchase stuff at Whole Foods. For my take on it and a link to an insightful blog post at The Objective Standard, please read my tweet message: http://twitter.com/lyceum/status/3369446269"
The goal is an integration of mind and body. My guideline is a philosophy for the life here on earth. Here is quote from Galt's Speech, For The New Intellectual by Ayn Rand: "To live, man must hold three things as the supreme and ruling values of his life: Reason—Purpose—Self-esteem. Reason, as his only tool of knowledge—Purpose, as his choice of the happiness which that tool must proceed to achieve—Self-esteem, as his inviolate certainty that his mind is competent to think and his person is worthy of happiness, which means: is worthy of living." http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/self-esteem.html"
I am brought up with British (Queen's) English. We had English from third grade (9 - 10 years old). I am often using American English words and expressions on my blog due to my studies in New Hampshire during 1997 - 2000 and my work in Ohio between 2000 - 2002. Most of my email conversations in English are with Americans. I have to end on a funny note: Beware of Engrish! ;)"
I guess the Scandinavian white papers are pretty boring compared with the British. Look at the debates in England and Sweden. It is full of action in England and the opposite parties are at a "saber distance". In Sweden the politicians are sleeping and barely push the voting buttons..."
As a purchaser I often took notes during meeting. Nowadays I use a digital pen called Pulse Smartpen. It has a recording device built in the pen and you use a "dotted" paper. You could then click on a word in your notebook and the pen will play back exactly what you said at that time you wrote down that word."
