10 Ways To Avoid Being A Facebook Jerk-Face
"David, I don't want to be a "jerk" but I have used FriendFeed's lifestream feature in order to show them on my Facebook page. I have to see if I could change the settings and pick certain messages showing up on my Facebook page. I have received remarks on this, but on the other hand, I have also got "like" votes and positive comments on messages. Some of my friends are only using Facebook as their source of communication platform. What's your take on lifestreaming and the challenge of combining several channels into one place? Do you have any good ideas on how to use Google Buzz? "8. EVERY TWEET POSTED TO FACEBOOK""10 Ways To Avoid Being A Facebook Jerk-Face
"David, Thanks for your input. I have to follow the reactions and feedback over and time and then decide what to do with the automatic lifestream through FriendFeed (owned by Facebook) on my Facebook wall. My friends and followers are in different time zones, so I don't think so much about it. I haven't been using the delayed / forward in time stamped feature. I am tweeting, blogging in real time. I have to think about this in the future. Did you read Robert Scoble's post on "curators"? Could that be the answer to the time aspect? http://scobleizer.com/2010/03/27/the-seven-needs-of-real-time-curators/"Twitter, twitter, little posts
"Barney, I see Twitter as a stream of several radio channels. I will start to create lists so it will be easier to follow certain topics and specific individuals. I have only one account because I want to mix and match. Maybe I will create a separate business handle at some point in time. I have to think about your lessons on how to follow. I have reached the follow limit now. At 2000 people, you are only allowed to follow max. 10% more than the amount of people who are following you. I wonder if Twitter will change this rule sometime in the future."5 Actions That Will Quickly Grow Your Business
"Ben Lang: Good tips by Ralph Jean-Paul, but I don't agree with his advice on "lose your ego." It could be the misuse of the word ego (I in Latin) that is in the way for the author. I agree with his statement: "There is a difference between having confidence and having a big ego." But I would replace the word ego with something else. If you are interested in checking your premises, I recommend you to read Ayn Rand's novelette, Anthem. The word ego has a central role in the story. "Subscribe
