Curing The Social Media Blues
"Pat, I have struggled now and then during my eight years of blogging. I have been taking a blog break around my blogiversary on May 7 and my birthday on May 25 and sometime during the summer period. Several guest bloggers have helped me during these times. Yoni: Talking about blogiversary, how was your first blog birthday on June 3?"Am I Expecting Too Much from Networking?
"Tibor, I agree with the two way street attitude. I recently joined a BNI chapter in Gothenburg, Sweden. Before I could have the opportunity to do my presentation (10 minutes), I had to attend a membership success training event. Have you read John Jantsch's book, The Referral Engine?"Short Term Thinking Can Harm Your Business
"Susan, I will publish a post on workflow today. It will include tools like mind map, notebook and index card. As an experienced purchaser I look at the whole supply & value chain as a package deal. I could apply social media strategies with a real purpose to an organization."EGO Under a Rough Banner
"Shawn, I will tell you more as time goes by. The site is "under construction" and the header is like a rough banner as described in my first post. You could find out a bit more about my services if you click the WorkLife tab. I will add more tabs with more information in the near future. I want to give moral and practical support to sole traders (sole proprietorship), solo entrepreneurs and business-minded individuals. The site will be my virtual and interactive business card as a "referral engine" (book title by John Jantsch) for new business opportunities. I will seek out partnerships with services that could fit my business, e.g., "social media with a purpose" (phrase by Joseph Jaffe, author of the book Flip the Funnel) tools like business intelligence software and social & business networks with an exchange of ideas and know-how. I will list my speaking engagements, workshops, courses and social media activities on the site. I heard an ad for Squarespace on net@night with Leo Laporte and Amber MacArthur. I tested it for free for a couple of days and saw how simple it was to use. You start out with a collection of different templates and you could then modify the site according to your liking. It is very simple to change stuff. I feel secure when it comes to the platform and the host. Click the "host" link on the site and read about the infrastructure of the platform. http://ego.posterous.com/ego-sole-trader-powered-by-squarespace"Subscribe
The Curse Of The Marketing Blog
"That is good news for me as an experienced purchaser! ;) I think that we will see a new focus on the whole supply and value chain in the future. Case in point, Tony Hsieh's latest book and Gary Vaynerchuk's keynote speech at Rail conference talking about business culture."
