6 Ways a Formatted Google+ Post Will Increase Engagement and Interest
"That's a great observation Heather, and one of the reasons why I still vary my posts, and suggest others do as well. If *every* post looked the same, none would stand out - at least that's the theory. For my own part, I reserve the full treatment of bold titles, paragraphs, hashtags, etc. for the articles I really want to get attention to - typically my new blog posts and one or two others a day from other people. Other posts I may do simple shares because I'm on mobile and don't have time to write much more, or because I'm passing along information that doesn't need any introduction. What do you do? Thanks!"Subscribe

"Thanks Heather! You're right, the number of factors and decisions probably require their own post. But generally, I would advise paying attention to design trends in order to ensure that your site never looks "dated." That doesn't mean it has to be on the cutting-edge of design, but we also wouldn't want someone to look at your site and *know* it was built ages ago. And similarly, keeping up with the latest in functionality trends and being positioned to take advantage of them. Older sites used to make extensive use of iFrames, for instance, until it was found to impair SEO. Now, any site that still uses iFrames or Flash is just killing themselves and needs to be revamped immediately."
