I've been blogging about 7 years. My first blog was used to promote services, and it worked very well, but I can't give any details on it because I sold it last year and I have a confidentiality agreement in the contract that prevents me from sharing anything. There aren't really any specific examples that come to mind, this article was written based on my own experience with that blog. I know there are a lot of SEOs and consultants that use their blogs to attract traffic, but I don't really know much about their businesses and how much of their income comes from services (a few examples would be https://yoast.com/, http://pointblankseo.com, and http://www.branded3.com)"
JVZoo is a marketplace. You can go to their site and view the products that are being sold. As for Infolinks and Kontera I can't remember sites off the top of my head, but if you contact them and ask for examples I'm sure they could provide you with some."
My opinion on popups is that you should weigh the pros and cons and decide what is best on a case-by-case basis. It's not the right fit for every site, but they are extremely effect for increasing opt ins. I don't use them all the time, but I have used them on blogs/sites in 3 or 4 different industries and every time I've had huge gains in conversions. I've also never seen a decrease in page views per visitor or any other statistical indication that they are harming other factors of the site. No one really likes popups, I don't like them, but when it comes to increasing opt ins they are effective."
