Hi Heather, I agree, lawsuits are always a last resort. A lawyer friend once told me that he knows he's found a good settlement when both sides feel they're getting the bad end of the deal. I can't imagine going through the stress of litigation in pursuit of that outcome. I'm not a public relations professional, but I once learned the basics of crisis management as, express concern and commitment to your cause and vow to investigate further. That can calm the situation and provide time to investigate the details until you can report back with preventative measures to keep the situation from happening again. It will be interesting to hear how others handle bad reviews because in some cases their effect on a business can be devastating. "
