7 Ways To Increase Email Opt-ins From Your Website Visitors
"ClickFIRE! Great advice! Regarding the pop-ups, though: I have had a few instances of pop-ups that float across the screen, making them "a game" to close; I didn't find it amusing. Secondly, I have had a few instances on otherwise legit business sites where in order to close the pop-up I had to close my browser. That is taking a "captive-audience" to ridiculous new levels. Done correctly, as you day, pop-ups work. Done incorrectly they make me want to stick my boot up someone's #ss! Yoni"Social Media satire 2: The world needs a laugh!
"Peter, These two parts are must-reads! Not just for people needing a laugh--they certainly did the job! But also for Business writers and bloggers wanting to inject some life into their business writing. Satire rocks! From the Colbert Report to Doonesbury to South Park to Tom Wolfe, people love satire. It pokes fun, it makes us take a look at ourselves and our world, and it DOES have a place in business writing. Thanks for a great series! "Adam, Is it the end of time? 2012? Tsunamis. Volcanos. Giant asteroids on collision courses with Earth. Hurricanes. Earthquakes. I ponder these and your article as I sit in my home office which doubles as our bomb shelter, a room that every new apt and house here must now have. Steel reinforced walls, floors and ceilings; air-purification filters; gas masks; and antidotes for chemical and biological attack. The only problem is when the hermetically-sealed door swings shut, Internet is lost and it's out of business :( Surviving a disaster might not happen, but preparing for one can make you feel a bit better! "Gut Shabbes and Shavua Tov, Yup, cultural differences can be eye-opening. The Sabbath in Jerusalem: Stores and businesses closed. No phones, work, cars, computers, cooking, etc. for 25 hours every week. Might seem boring to some, but I think It's great! Relaxing as hell. In life and in business, it's important to understand cultures and views. Zeint Gezunt, Yonatan Maisel, Har Homa Yerushalayim "Subscribe

"I'm glad it worked out well. Sponsorship, as you said is the key: nobody wants to compete for a 5lb turkey. It's good exposure for the sponsors, and really at minimal cost. Yoni"
