How to SABOTAGE Your Business Blog Article with a Bad Title in 4 Easy Steps!
"Adam, Thanks! I checked out the link...it's pretty cool. My problem is the opposite: I'm businessly-challenged. I might come up witch creative, catchy headlines, but I have problems filling the rest of the article with business substance :) Maybe why I compensate with so much silliness and humor? "Ben, Israel Forum is indeed a great place to get blog exposure. I have had a few articles climb the rankings as you said. Business articles, in general, don't seem to do as well on the site though. It is much more geared toward current-events, politics, etc. I like the sites though and like the extra article views and readership that it provides. "AA, I'm not sure my blog could be considered "popular" in the grand-scheme of things. I think it has found a niche though. As far as titles go, I have gone through a process of making them more colorful, descriptive and a bit odd. It seems to have paid dividends as my average post views have gone from about 100 a year and a half ago to about 950 today. Reader feedback has definitely told me that the titles are one reason people are clicking. Yoni"6 Reasons Why your Articles Do Not Reach the Top
"Guatam, I especially agree with the "research" item. Whether writing about a new concept in your business rpertoire, or injecting history, pop-culture, current-events or what have you, a certain amount of research is in order. It makes things tight and accurate. Yoni"Preparing for an Emergency or a Disaster
"Duncan, My home office is...our bomb shelter. Actually called here in Heder Atom (safe room). Every new apt. in Israel is required to have one...in the older ones there is the traditional group, underground one. It is a room like any other but with roof, floor and walls of one inch of steel. The windows can close with glass or a plate of steel which swivels in. And yes, it's got a nice air-filtration syetem. The only problem is if you need to close the door you are cut off from the world...meaning no internet. It makes you feel safe but at the same time it's depressing. "Duncan, p.s.: The word "Atom" is not a reference to atomic, rather it is the Hebrew adjective for "sealed." Although everyone here has a kit for chemical and bio attack, the room provides no protection against radiation. The shelter is though, as the title here alludes to, good disaster preparedness."Trends in Irish Internet Marketing - A St Patrick's Day Special
"Alastair, Nice post and great graphics. I'm surprised, though maybe I shouldn't be (I don't know that much about online comm.) that e-mail campaigns outpace blogs. E-mail campaigns are often not received that well (the SPAM issue). Happy St. Pat's Day "Is Obsession Stopping Your Marketing Success?
"I passed the test! The only one I failed is the obsession with having my posts liked. I get self-esteem from those that get 200, 300, 400 views in the first week. Those that don't? I ask myself what I did wrong and obsess. I really need to get the view-counter off of my blog and stop being so obsessive :) It also comes with the territory of being a writer. I have submitted to journals and periodicals that accept on average one out of every 2,500 pieces of short fiction or poetry. It's tough. My fiend Jacob Appell, considered the most successful short story writer of this decade, has had over 150 pieces of short fiction published. He also has over 10,000 rejection letters. The odds can make you obsessive! Also, the average response time for fiction submissions can be up to five months. That's a lot of waiting for the rejection letter that is sure to follow. It can make you crazy. And it transfers to my blogging. Yoni"Subscribe
