Are You Charging Too Little? A Step-By-Step Guide to Putting a Price on Your Services
"Adam, Great advice...though what else would I expect from you?! My problem is that writing is an ultra-competitive field which is a bidding-war at its core. If you check out sites like ODesk and Freelancers.com, you will see people from Third World countries (nothing against the Third World of course) who are willing to to the work for $2-5/hour on average. People used to a higher salary can't compete. I advertise on other places, but there is always someone willing to under-bid and work for peanuts. Yoni"Are You Charging Too Little? "Adam, Thank you for your very comprehensive response to my response. As far as: __________________________________________________ "Instead, focus on building and promoting your writing niches ***without sounding too desparate for work***. Make sure your website in particular is up to date, easy to navigate, and professional-looking (You may want to consider investing in someone who can help you with this... just do your research to make sure you get someone good)" ___________________________________________________________________ I will take this to heart. It's time I did update things a bit. Thanks, Yoni"5 Kick Ass Plugin’s
"Jackie, Any post with "Kick-Ass" in the title is one I will click on. These plug-ins look cool, but I have a confession to make...I don't know what a plug-in is. Ahhh...confession is good for the soul...I feel cleansed! I suppose I will Google "plug-ins" today and find out what they are and what they can do for me. Then I will try the ones you recommend. Then I'll drink a pint of ice-cold Guinness and wait for the first snowfall in Jerusalem in 7 years (tomorrow). Yoni "How I Drive Traffic to My Blog With This Blog Commenting Trick
"I'm not sure about these commenting strategies. I'd rather leave genuine comments on the blogs I really enjoy. And I'd rather have 10 to 15 genuine comments on my blog from readers who enjoyed rather than 70 to 100 from people who are just leaving comments for strategy. "Susan, You are right about defensiveness and wanting/needing to be right. I guess these behaviors start early on in life and continue in to adulthood and business. I usually am quite patient with clients and try to appease. However on four or so occasions when they have just been too belligerent and rude, I've borrowed from the famous song... "Hit the road Jack and don't you come back..." Friction will always be part of the equation. Sometimes it can be overcome, but when two big egos clash there will be fireworks! Yoni"Subscribe

"TJ, Now that's one comprehensive post...and great graphics too. As a tech-phobic person I find it rather frightening, but I'm sure that many will find the contents very useful, educational and instructive. Yoni"
