Hi Tuck.

Cable's price hikes, bad quality, constant outages, and poor service lost my business decades ago (Sept.'96). Let's see what happens here.

On SNL this past year, Jim Carey did the 1st-ever impression of Charles Bronson I've seen. It was hilarious - he squinted while raising his eyebrows, pursed his lips, and said: "You scumbags make me wanna puke!" In the bit, he was a Swami (with a giant turban like Johnny Carson's Carnac hat) who'd been a comic impressionist, so all his spirit voices were impressions.

Duncan,

A quote:

Cable and satellite prices were similarly high, with Israelis paying 200 percent more than the world average price for unlimited viewing and 156 percent more for committed packages.

Prices here are notoriously high. Basic cable is 250 shekels, about $85. That'll get you Israeli channels only.

We have basic + CNN, FOXNEWS, BBC, 4 movie channels, HBO, FOXSports, Eurosport, MTV, VH1 and E. That's all.

The price = about $125 a month.

It's insane, yet we pay it. We must have our TV. One of the four movie channels is MGM where Yoni gets his fill of Bronson, Eastwood, Peck, Gable and the like.

p.s. I won't pay for satellite, either, and have never used Netflix.
