You're definitely correct about Japan more readily adopting these technologies. E-wallets are much bigger outside of the U.S., but that's actually the way a lot of the POS is going. In this case, convenience is king! I was just doing an It proposal for e-wallet functions for RFID wristbands and mobile apps (in school). It's strange to think that your cell phone (app) could become your method of payment, but actually it's more secure than carrying cards. The thing is, most people don't know how to properly protect their cell phones. Great post!
