A poll's probably a good way to figure out the big road blocks psychologically. It would probably also be a good idea to do an honest self-evaluation (or have someone close to you help) to decide what would be the biggest challenges for you personally, given who you are and your skills, so you could figure out whether any of them are serious enough to make franchising a bad fit.
