The idea of forcing businesses to provide insurance is ridiculous. Businesses will simply decrease pay to compensate or be forced to employ fewer people. Are politicians naive enough (and people stupid enough) to think that this will fix the problem?

I am glad that at least starting a debate about this. Here in Sweden you take for granted that a dose of socialized medicine is good for you, and nobody is taking a stand and giving the right antidote. I wrote the following comment on Small Business Trends:

So, when will it be OK to look after the smallest minority, i.e., the individual? I have to write a post on how the majority rule has led to an inefficient and ineffective socialized health care system in Sweden. The public sector is even deciding over the small private sector when it comes to decide if it exist a real “need” for alternatives. My father is an example of this whimsical rule. When he and his business partner decided to enter retirement and end the practice, the public sector decided that it was no “need” for the practice to shift hands and be taken over by some younger dermatologists, so it was closed down once for all. The patients had to find a new place to go to…
