I think it boils down to a two-way street communication and really grasp an understanding of the trader principle of exchanging value for value. I think that alternatives to regular hiring practices will come up in the future. Here in Sweden you could use something called "self employment business". You rent / hire your employer. You send invoices through a special company specialized on helping freelancers, solo entrepreneurs, etc. They take care of all the paperwork, taxes, etc. They take a cut of circa 10% of the invoice.
