Thanks everyone for your comments. AngelBiz: Yes, you’re absolutely right. I’d add that one to the list.

How about "Trying to do everything by yourself." You will not be able to grow if you cannot hire right people, trust them and delegate to them.

Rieva: I have leave behind some of my bad habits during this year:

- underpricing my services. I am good at negotiating with myself and I have practiced giver's gain a lot, but it could lead to giver's pain and so on. I have written a philosophical piece on my price setting. My valuable time is linked to the value of silver. If we don't have standard to start from, how could we set prices?

- procrastinating. I have been "good" this for some time! ;) It often turn out well at the end, but it takes energy and adding stress to your life.

- over scheduling. I have been participating in all kinds of activities. I have to block out some me time and have free space for new opportunities that could turn up.

You have written a money quote at the end:

"Stop making excuses for why your business isn’t reaching your goals, and start looking for solutions that will get you there." I will write it down and put on my personal kanban workflow bulletin board!

We all have some bad habits as well as good ones and, one of the best things we can do for ourselves in this 2014 is to get rid of those bad habits of ours. Thanks for sharing this with the bizsugar community.
