A third of Gen Yers say they love independent work and don’t plan on going back to a traditional job

The Independent Workforce Index announced that “independent work continues to be a sustainable, financially rewarding and personally fulfilling career choice for a growing number of Americans.” The study by MBO Partners, whose services make it easy for independent consultants, revealed that independent work is a major contributor to the U.S. economy, bringing in about $1 trillion in revenue.

Interesting stats, Sashi. It forces me to wonder if most of these folks are simply self-employed or whether some are creating larger businesses, perhaps with employees over time. I’m not suggesting one of these approaches is better than the other. Just trying to get the breakdown.
