Canada is experiencing gaps between what global commerce requires for success and what the country’s workforce can supply. Among them is a shortfall in the number of people in core occupations for global trade, as well as a gap between the demand and availability of new competencies critical to that trade. So says a new study, International Trade Workforce Strategy, released by the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT). The report was supported by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and created in collaboration with Mercer.
