An office space is not a requirement to start a business. Dorm rooms, garages and even living rooms can be perfectly suitable homes for businesses — and some will never leave the cozy spot in which they began. But the way a typical business grows usually means that you will eventually need some office space, perhaps even beyond a dedicated home office. If nothing else, meeting with clients or investors is something best done where they can’t see the stack of laundry you’re ignoring.

Unless you have a company that requires storage or server space, then as you say go for something that works right now. Then move onto the next place with pride and nostalgia that you outgrew your first office.
