I think if you asked most people how they would identify a great leader they would tell you that great leaders change the world. This is a very lofty goal, yet it has become the popular sentiment. People are always talking about wanting to change the world. The problem is that leadership is all about people, and people tend to get overlooked when looking at the overwhelmingly huge prospect of changing the world.
