I have been struggling with creating a trusted workflow system since 2004, when I started to read David Allen's book, Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity.

As a small business owner with plenty of entrepreneurial ideas, juggling many projects at the same, it's hard not feel stressed now and then. The main goal is to develop a solid method that will help you to have a "mind like water," instead of keeping all your mental stuff in the "RAM" (Random-access memory) version of your brain.

Bill Rice: Thanks for your comment and input. I will write more posts on this topic in the future.

I'm working on this one too. It's harder than David Allen's evangelical prose would indicate. However, I think he is on the right track.

Shawn,

The stress-free part is to remove all the stuff you have in your "RAM" and put it in trusted places and then review the next actions on a regular basis.

I have heard the saying, "little stress is good for you, too much will kill you."

Is stress-free productivity really possible, Martin? Sounds more like magic then art.
