I am often involved in recruiting project managers for my clients. Project managers who clients hope will deliver the perfect project. What is it that makes me want to interview a project manager, and what CVs do I throw in the bin?

Excellent points and very wise words. One of the things I'm finding out more and more is people do need to be "niche specialists"; it is a great way of being unique and marketable, but as you stated, if you close yourself into too tight of a niche, you might have a real hard time getting hired.
