To work with people who are talented is great, but to work with people who take charge and are sensible enough to answer for their actions is even better. Accountability is one virtue that every company wishes for their employees, although not all of them are able to integrate this into their system.

Accountability should be more taught to everyone because it lessens the errors a job will develop.

When I think of an employee declining tasks, admitting mistakes and asking for help, it's usually not a manager. Gauging time and abilities and using some tact is required to pull it off professionally. Sometimes rather than saying "No", just saying yes to doing "less" will gain you more favor with your peers. Nice information, I enjoyed it. Thanks.
