I’ve seen it being used as a live chat tool with Chatbot functionality. Although that did require an additional tool. Mobile Monkey is one that does this.

Others will give the option of sending conversations into FB Messenger.

Personally, I’d avoid using Messenger in this way just because reliance on FB/Meta in years past has proved to be a bad idea. They could “pull the rug” from beneath us at any time like they did with organic reach on Pages.

Also, dedicated tools are often the best because their development focus is 100% on that one thing.
