Adam: Thanks for sharing your insights! I think I will continue with writing my short and sweet blog posts, pundit style, with links and references to other content material other there in cyberspace, e.g., recorded live-streaming sessions, and podcast episodes.

Sure thing. Sounds good. That style of blog post, I think works best for your site. Especially given the focus on podcasting.

Depends on the goal I'm trying to achieve. Each type of article/content will excel at certain types of goal (or multiple goals).

For example - best X, versus, and reviews are best for driving revenue. And each one works differently in terms of the buyer stage target readers will be at and how profitable they can be.

Generally reviews are the least effective in terms of traffic volume, but buyer intent is higher.

Then there are post types that work best for attracting links. For example, data-driven content. And specific types within that group that vary in effectiveness. For example, crowdsourced data-driven articles (e.g. roundups) can work very well but in order to get the best results you need to "become the source".
