Too often a marketing plan ends up on someone’s shelf gathering dust. Make it a living document that can help you continually improve your strategies and tactics. Establish quantifiable and measurable quarterly success criteria for your plan (e.g. number of new customers). Once every quarter, objectively review the performance of your marketing plan against these goals. Figure out what is working and what isn’t, adjust your plan (and maybe your expectations), and measure your progress the next quarter.
