This is a good insight and still very different from the idea of competing on price. Because a deal implies not only a lower cost but also something of value. Less money for something I don't use is not a deal. Don't just drop your prices. Look at your products and services and try to figure out if customers really want them. Then consider what you might do to make them irresistible even in hard times.
