With all the forms of communication that are out there why have we forgotten about the power of a handwritten note for our business? When it’s a family member’s birthday don’t we take the time to write a little personal note in the card for them? Well, why don’t we do that in business for those that matter? Maybe, because it’s not the norm anymore or we think it’s more professional to send a well written letter or email. Otherwise, we just think a shout out on Twitter or Facebook is acceptable and it is at times, but in some situations a handwritten note could lead to a lifelong customer, a more productive employee and more business.

The personal touch still works and I think always will. Good reminders Jason.

I agree Susan it always will and sometimes we need to get away from technology to accomplish it :)

You're absolutely right! There's something very impersonal about a typed congratulatory note - it says I used "Form Letter #389" because I couldn't come up with any honest thoughts of my own.

You can't beat it! As long as the note is personal and actually signed at the end the person receiving it will appreciate it!
