I'm a night owl by nature, but that's in general - creative moments have happened even while sleeping. One night about 5 years ago I got up in the middle of the night, played a really cool "Burst riff" (that might have occurred to me in a dream - I don't know), wrote it down after playing it a while, then went back to sleep.

I have to say I am a morning person.I would rather get up very early as that is when my brain is the sharpest. Come later in the night I am hopeless.
