When you’ve chosen your book, LinkedIn will invite you to add a comment telling people why you’ve chosen to read this book and if you’ve finished it, what you’ve thought of it...

Why not add books to your list...the same way you select experiences for a resume. LinkedIn is for (business) networking. Books there should reflect your professional interests not your personal reading habits. Think it's a great way to send a signal about your personal brand. What are you about?

Gotta admit I didn't know it was there. Was a time you paid attention to the groups. (It's still maybe one of the best ways to connect with new people.) Now, it's updates. Kind of like Twitter but a little tougher to connect with people you don't know. I know no one will agree with me but I think it's kind of weird to use a book list for networking. I'm a multidimenional person. I'm reading stuff that wouldn't interest business connections. So I'm gonna make up a book list specifically as some kind of marketing? Just seems ingenuous.

I think commenting/talking about books is a great way to network, I haven't updated my list in a while, I better get to it!
