I come from a family of entrepreneurs. My father owns a furniture restoration company in the Northwest, my brother owns part of the business, and my mom helps him run his business and has had some of her own endeavors as well. Growing up, I knew I didn’t want to work for someone else. This was partially because of the freedom and financial security I saw that my parents were able to achieve by owning their own companies, but also because by nature I’m very independent and creative. Going into the family business wasn’t an option for me with my need to do something that was my own and gave me creative freedom, so I tried and tested several businesses from a very young age. My first company that I started was when I was 12 years old and so being an entrepreneur has really been the only thing I know.
