There is a lot built around the 'brand experience'. It is an elusive quantity that has shifting facets — the experience when purchasing, when wearing or using what you have purchased, when receiving affirmation or ridicule from others because of what you have purchased and when dealing with the fact that your item has broken, over-charged you, become overdue or simply wasn't what you wanted in the first place. It's not enough to simply offer customers a product anymore — there needs to be an entire experience built around this product, and around the brand that produces the product.
