We tend to prescribe solutions before we have diagnosed the problem. The key is to find out what people really want and need before we propose a solution.

Listening is so important, and yet so many of us are not good at it. I think a lot of the time we react out of fear, fear that we won't be understood, fear that we won't get our chance to explain, and fear that somehow there will be negative repercussions if we don't get our point across to our satisfaction. But often we don't stop to think about the negative effects of our failure to listen and empathize. Great food for thought!

Great point Heather, thank you for sharing. Fear can stop us in many aspects of marketing and doing business. If you identify what you're afraid of it's easier to overcome it.
