The “stickiness” factor is very important if you wish to establish a respectable-sized readership. “Stickiness” refers to how long a reader decides to stick on your page and be thoroughly engaged with the contents of your site or blog.

The main theory in support of stickiness is that the longer a visitor stays on your site, the higher the chances of developing a loyal subscriber to your posts, and higher chances of monetizing the blog. After all, visitors who visit your site more often, and for longer periods each time, tend to buy more often than sporadic visitors who exit your website after 30 seconds

iamran, excellent post filled with tremendous tips for bloggers. I've never heard the term "stickiness" used before but it makes sense. All of the tips are great but the one I like best is use of images. It spices things up and creates instant interest in the post. Too many words without a distraction for the eyes = boring.
