I'd agree with Alastair and add that I especially like points four and six. It is amazing how many businesses suffering tough changes in the market begin to complain to customers (and anyone who'll listen) about their problems. It's also amazing how clearly the market can sometimes lead you to what's needed if you can just shut down your own expectations long enough to pay attention. Expectations can be a real pain and I think we all experience the pull to do what we think is expected even if all other indicators show us it's the wrong idea.

Really good points about expectations and attention and very true. Regarding the complaining I am still surprised that they often complain on social media and then wonder why no one approaches them.
