I try to keep up with the latest security trends, and this is definitely a new one to me! I just recently heard about what appears to be the growing trend of human hair theft. The hair is stolen from supply companies and beauty salons that sell and install hair extensions.

Do you mean they are going through the garbage to find hair that was cut that day in order to sell for extensions? In any case, I'd be more worried about things you can do with cut hair such as drug test the person from a strand of hair, or, more deviously, clone a person.
