Your last point re: not revealing enough - I feel there's something to hold onto when a business person reveals something personal about themselves. It can be something as simple as what they had for breakfast or something strange or funny their child said. It fosters a connection to see a bit of the person behind the business.

I have learned the hard lesson during the years, that so-called business people who are not revealing enough information about themselves, are often not understanding online and offline networking at all. You could be personal, but you don't have to be private in your business activities online. We do business with individuals we know, like and trust.
