Thanks for the tip. I will see if I can enter the co-working office space / small business house I am visiting now and then. Google maps / car hasn't captured the image of the building yet... ;)

Hi Lyceum, the comment made in reply to your comment has either disappeared or was never actually published. Apologies. Anyway...

Google My Business was indeed once known as Google Places. As a Google service, it's likely that My Business is popular across the world and we can certainly vouch for it being widely used in the UK. Bing Places for Business is Bing's alternative to the Google offering and is also useful to marketing efforts.

Thanks for your input! How could I use these services as consultant working from the "third places" (between home and office)?

Is Google My Business that was called Google Places in the past? Do you know how popular this service is outside the North American market? Does Bing / Yahoo have a similar service?

Local SEO is set up to help businesses with a physical brick & mortar location. From your point of view, the services could be really beneficial, particularly if you interact with customers at either of your locations. I would recommend setting up a Google My Business profile for your office, to increase your search presence and make your business visible to those looking for a consultant in the local area.
